It all sounds simple right?

The fact is that anyone who has money can do it. Like most people I work, and I’ve worked hard for a living. I’ve worked, saved money and in recent years have been affected by layoffs and downsizing and a slowing economy.. I realized that there were only a few ways I could achieve my dream of building solar and alternative energy home.  One of those solutions involved raising the money on my own. (Winning the lottery would be a good way too. I can dream…)

That’s why I created this site.  I continue to work and save money for the project, but needed to find a way to supplement the process.

Here’s what I'm planning to do:

I plan to chronicle the process from funding through design and beyond on the site. And during the process I plan to post information that will possibly be helpful for others looking for information on solar, conservation methods and alternative energy.

I plan to include stories of others that have decided to change their ways to a more green approach from working to everyday life. Also projects for do-it-yourselfers, small solar projects, wind projects, water conservation projects, gardening, nature photography, and more…

Getting started

I have been an amateur nature photographer for a while and have collected quite a collection of some wonderful and inspiring sights. I have compiled them into a book for for everyone to enjoy. I have also created a video of relaxing scenes from locations I had also come across as I traveled, while I was on the road. I will be expanding the list of items as I can.
